Claire Alajooz is an experienced Physician Associate with a longstanding clinical interest in dermatology and minor skin surgery. She graduated from King’s College London in 2007 before completing her clinical training at St George’s, University of London and attaining her national Physician Associate certification in 2010.
After moving into General Practice, Claire developed a particular interest in dermatology and aesthetic medicine and completed further training in minor surgery. In 2016, she began dermatology training at St Mary’s Hospital under the supervision of Consultant Dermatologist Dr Sarwant Shah.
Through this training, Claire developed experience in recognising skin lesions, managing common dermatological conditions and undertaking minor surgical procedures. She has since worked within the Bedford Hospital Dermatology outpatient department alongside running minor surgery lists in General Practice.
Claire has also completed further training in dermoscopy, receiving a distinction from the University of Cardiff, alongside nationally recognised training in minor surgery. Her approach is warm and thorough, taking time to assess each concern carefully and explain clearly whether monitoring, further investigation or treatment may be appropriate.
